Do Or Die

Some people fly too close to the sun
Some people lose control, crash and burn
Most people don’t even get off the ground

Most people live a life they hate, crushed by Fate
Do nothing, happy with what is placed on their plate
The treadmill wears out those who leave it too late

Decide now, cut the strings of the puppet masters on high
Decide now, learn the rules, take control, the time is nigh
Rise up like a god and fly , or lay down like a dog and die.

When You Hear Of My Passing

When you hear of my passing
Will it make you pause … and think of Life gone by
Or will you just shrug, look away, not even a sigh.
When you hear of my passing
Will it touch you enough to squeeze out one tear
Or will you continue to act as if I was never here.

When you hear of my passing
Will you at least raise your hands in prayer
Show the relatives that, deep down, you care.
When you hear of my passing
Will it warm a memory in your cold, cold heart
Will you appreciate my total love from the start.

When you hear of my passing
Slowly read these words that you did not want to hear
Acknowledge the one-way love, and the price paid so dear.
When you hear of my passing
Think of the mothers who poisoned and twisted our Fate
My father and I, you and I, we learn this much too late.

Kismet

Some people call it Fate, other’s Destiny
Some say it is Written, other’s Mystery
A billion to one to be in the same place
A million to one to glance at each other’s face
Time stood still as the cards were dealt
A choir of angels sang how our hearts felt
The stars were lined up in a certain way
The gods decreed we would meet this day.

Our eyes met
Kismet
Our hearts met
Kismet
Our lips met
Kismet.

Our journey in love has just started
The caravan of love has departed
True love will bloom and flower
Who could have foretold this hour?

Our eyes met
Kismet
Our hearts met
Kismet
Our lips met
Kismet.

Your almond eyes, sweet lips of wine
Your electric thighs, perfume so divine
Your smile, a poet’s dream come true
Heaven on earth just for me and you
And to think we met by chance
Our fate was sealed with a glance
The stars were lined up in a certain way
The gods decreed we would meet this day.

Our eyes met
Kismet
Our hearts met
Kismet
Our lips met
Kismet.
