Laughter In The Night

Familiarity breeds contempt
Formality in love is death
Light-hearted is the spark, laughter the way out
Tickle my funny bone till the marrow is hot
Fun and games are the order of the day
Your body is an instrument I love to play
My thrust … your echo … on a mountain-range
We must to and fro, in and out, a heated exchange
The sounds of love played by our musicians
Words in sighs are spoken till the thread is broken.

Laughter in the night, ringing out in sheer delight
The going is tight, but the coming is out of sight
Diamonds are rare, the eye of a needle is tight
But nothing can compare with laughter in the night
Ringing out in sheer delight.

Opposites attract – yours is soft and mine hard
We’ll make love in honour of man, beast and god
Make love with imagination and in colours
Go one by one through all the numbers
You can drink before and I’ll eat after
My tongue will open the door to liquid laughter
While we’re both boiling in the broth
Smile at me with your second mouth
Wink at me with your third eye
If I laugh any harder I’ll cry.

Laughter in the night, caused by a touch feather light
The going is tight, but the coming is out of sight
Wine is sweet, so is fruit when you bite
But they can’t compete with laughter in the night
Ringing out in sheer delight.

Our nerves tingle with sweet little pains
Our hearts pump lava through our veins
Molten death dying, your breathless sighing
Between your spread wings I’m flying
Love blade with which I’m stabbing
Precious moment of joy for which we are grabbing
We’ll shoot to the stars after the ignition
Sweet tension building up for the final explosion
Squirming and squealing, tossing and turning in a frenzy
The safety valve will blow to release the ecstasy

Laughter in the night, our bodies in full flight
The going is tight, but the coming is out of sight
Heaven is in the flesh, flowers grow towards the light
But they’re not as fresh as laughter in the night
Ringing out in sheer delight.
